Mushroom and fennel pizza

Ingredients

  • 2 pizza crusts (or pizza dough of your choice)

  • 3 Dalisa Hot Italian sausages

  • 1 cup marinara sauce

  • 1 sliced fennel bulb

  • 250 g sliced mushrooms

  • 1 diced red bell pepper

  • 1 sliced onion

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • Black pepper to taste

  • Fresh basil to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the sausages on it.
  3. Bake for 16 minutes, turning them halfway through. Slice once cooked.
  4. Slice the onion, mushrooms, and fennel. Dice the red bell pepper.
  5. Place the pizza crusts on a baking sheet and spread with marinara sauce.
  6. Top with the onion, mushrooms, fennel, and red pepper.
  7. Add the sliced sausages, then add the mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, then finish under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes to brown the cheese.
  9. Once out of the oven, top with fresh basil and a bit of black pepper.
  10. Slice and serve.
