Warm Brie with Sausage and Blueberry Jam

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Brie cheese (about 370 g)

     

  • 2 Ham & Maple Dalisa sausages

  • 1 French shallot

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp blueberry jam

  • 60 ml port wine

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Position the oven rack in the center and preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Place the cheese in a baking dish and set aside.
  3. In a nonstick skillet, brown the sausages and shallot in the olive oil until the sausages are golden.
  4. Add the blueberry jam and cook for 1 minute. Season with pepper to taste.
  5. Deglaze with the porto wine and mix well.
  6. Spoon the mixture over the cheese and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve immediately with fresh or toasted bread slices.
